The foyer is spacious, and right away you notice the hardwood floors. There's not even a strip of carpet in this house. The floors are a really nice tone, not too light, but light enough that you're not going to see a lot of dirt. That's something people specifically ask for these days.

The windows throughout the house are tilt-and-turn windows. I actually have these in my house, and I love them. You unlatch them and they open like a door, which makes them super easy to clean. They're heavy duty, noise resistant, and very energy efficient. They latch all the way through, so they're safe. I pointed this out in the video because it's a detail that makes a difference in how the house feels and functions.

To the left of the foyer is a formal living room or study. It has a vaulted ceiling with shiplap and beams, and the color on the walls is a moody greige, kind of an organic, warm tone that runs through the whole house. I really like it. The light fixture is unique, and they've put thought into every room instead of just using the same fixture everywhere. The casing in the doorway is really pretty, and the tall baseboards throughout the house are another nice detail.

The powder room is right as you enter. They did a good job with the selections, a fluted vanity, quartz countertops, a pretty shaped mirror, and another unique light fixture. The tile is neutral but not boring. It's the same moody greige color that runs through the house, and it works.

The main living space is a nice big living room with a cast stone gas fireplace. You just flip a switch to turn it on. The scale of this room is fantastic, and even without staging, you can tell it's a generous space. Through every window, you see trees. That's all you see, green. It's beautiful. The hardwood floors continue here, and they've done beams through the kitchen and dining area to match the cabinetry.

The Kitchen: Upgraded Appliances and a Scullery Pantry

The island is about 7 feet long with lots of drawer space and really pretty antique brass hardware. They did quartz countertops and used quartz as the backsplash, which I thought was a nice choice. The appliances are upgraded, Cafe appliances with brass handles, a microwave drawer, and a Forno oven. That's a heavy-duty oven with nice grills and a griddle. The hood vent has a stucco finish, and the farmhouse sink is deep with beautiful plumbing hardware. If you're standing at the sink doing dishes, you're looking out at trees. You really feel like you're in a treehouse.

Through the kitchen, you have a scullery pantry. This is a big feature. You've got lots of drawers, quartz countertops, quartz backsplash, and cabinets all the way up to the ceiling. There's a sink here with windows so you still get light, and then lots of shelving for pantry items. This house has no shortage of storage.

Right as you enter from the garage, there's a little bar area with a beverage cabinet and additional storage. Then you have a wall of lockers, so much space for shoes, coats, and all the things a family needs. The garage is a 2-car garage with extra space. They've epoxied the floor, which is a nice upgrade. I just did this in my house, and it makes a huge difference. Something spills, you just wipe it up. There's extra space here for an additional refrigerator, bikes, or even a golf cart. The ceilings are tall, and there are built-ins for storage.

The Back Deck: Trex Decking and Tree Views

The back deck is gorgeous. It's a big space with Trex decking, so it's not wood, it looks like wood, but it's going to hold up so much better. That's a big upgrade. The deck is vaulted with a ceiling fan, and the views are incredible. You hear birds chirping, and all you see is trees. It's so peaceful out here. From the deck, you can see the path down to the dock on Lake Lanier.

Upstairs: Four Large Bedrooms With Ensuites and a Primary Bedroom Beverage Station

The stairs have nice wooden treads and an iron railing. More massive windows bring in light, and the walls are that taupey mushroom color I love. Right as you come upstairs, there's a cute little laundry room with shiplap, pretty cabinetry, and a utility sink. Light flows in here too.

The primary bedroom is a great size. They did shiplap in the ceiling with painted beams and a beautiful chandelier. Look at all those windows, it's all wood views. So pretty. The bathroom has quartz countertops, square sinks, and beautiful antique brass hardware throughout. I love the curved mirror and the sconces. The tub is stunning, and the view right outside the tub is ridiculous. You don't even need shades because nobody can see you.

Here's a cool detail: there's a little beverage station in the primary bathroom. You can put a coffee pot here or just have drinks and snacks so you don't have to go all the way downstairs to get going in the morning. I love that idea. The shower has a frameless door, pebble tile, and wood-look tile that gives the whole bathroom a spa-like vibe. The water closet is separate, and the closet is built out with storage for shoes, drawers, and double rods. You can fit a lot in this room.

Secondary Bedrooms: Large Spaces With Ensuites

The secondary bedrooms are also large, they're not small. The first one has a vaulted ceiling with beams and a beautiful chandelier. They've done something unique in every bedroom. This one has an ensuite bathroom with the same wood tone that runs through the whole house. It's a very nice neutral but warm-toned wood. Quartz countertops, frameless shower door, and really good tile. It has texture and some color, but it feels neutral. It's not overwhelming or something you'd get sick of.

The next bedroom has a tray ceiling and another cute light fixture. It also has an ensuite bathroom. The last bedroom has a beautiful light fixture and a nice accent wall. Sunlight comes in, and you see all the trees. There's a closet, and then this bedroom shares a bathroom with a very long double vanity and a really nice shower. I have to say, I'm a bit jealous of this tile. It feels cool and looks great. There's shelving and a place for a hamper. In the hallway, you've got more storage. This house has a lot of good storage.

Finished Basement: Mother-in-Law Suite Potential and Extra Office Space

The basement is fully finished, and I think that's a great value. Right as you come downstairs, you have another office space with a really pretty accent wall. There's a little bench area, and then you have more unfinished storage, you always need extra storage. There's a nice deep closet down here too.

The main area is a really nice living room with a kitchenette. You have a beverage fridge, a sink, drawers, and quartz as the backsplash. The sink is gold, how cool is that? I love it. They did a nice shelf with glass, and I could see you making a bar here. You could put alcohol and martini glasses on display. There's a little dining area in between. Then you have a big pantry.

This is great for a mother-in-law suite or even an older child, or just as an entertaining area. There's a bathroom down here with really nice selections, cabinetry, tile, a frameless shower, and wood-look tile. So many people call me and say they want some land, nature, trees, space, and no carpet. This checks a lot of boxes. People don't want carpet these days, and you've got hardwood floors throughout. There's plenty of storage. It's great for people who work from home because you get multiple office spaces. You get serenity, high-end luxury finishes, and unique selections. I feel like they've done that here. They even underlit the island.

The back porch off the basement gives you access to the lake. You walk out and then you have a path down to the dock.

The Dock and Lake Lanier: Shallow Water and Pontoon Boat Access

I walked down to the dock with Bowie, and it's really neat. You do have your own dock, but I will say the water is pretty shallow right there. I don't know much about boats, but I wonder if there's a way to build this out a little bit more so you have better boat access. You can see a whole bunch of pontoon boats lined up across the way, so that gives you an idea of what works in this area. The lake is beautiful, and there are ducks. Bowie loved it.

Having direct access to Lake Lanier right from your backyard at this price point is amazing. The lot is gorgeous, you're surrounded by trees, and then you have the lake. It's a no-brainer if you're looking for that combination of privacy and water access.
